Deeply rooted in the oral traditions of the earliest settlers to the Northwest are stories of Wildmen who lived in the dense forests of the region or at the tops of the giant Cascade mountain peaks.

These creatures stole salmon from the fisher’s nets and mothers warned their children that if they misbehaved the Wildmen would snatch them away. Called “Sasquatch” by a Canadian reporter in the early 1900’s, the legend of the Wildmen lives on today.

In 1958, as the legend goes, logger Ray Wallace cobbled together two early prototypes for our new Hairy Big Foot Stomp Walkers andlaid down the first man-made Big Foot tracks. Naturally, the Hairy Big Foot Stomp Walkers are a direct result of our Pacific Northwest heritage, our focus on active, slightly mischievous active toys for boys and girls. They’re a celebration of the spirit of little Ray Wallaces everywhere. The Hairy Big Foot Stomp Walkers help the young ones rise up, march forward and roar into the their future as big and monster-like as they care to be!
