A further extension of the Sky Rocket line, the Sky Rocket Paraspinner is a dual-stage rocket with a parachute stowed “on-board.” When the rocket reaches its apex, the parachute is released, making for a soft re-entry.

 

The rocket’s two stages are linked by way of a self-lubricating threaded shaft. The fins on the two stages are oriented in opposite directions so when the air rushes past the fins the two stages unscrew from each other. Once the two stages unscrew, the stowed parachute opens up and carries the rocket softly back to earth.
